Product Description
Product Description
The Pluma is an extraordinary fin that makes the most of molding technology previously used only on the Cressi hi-tech models designed specifically for free diving and scuba diving. The Pluma uses the same Cressi patented construction system of molding three different materials to give high performance, extreme lightness, easy fining, and comfort. The blade is made from light and reactive polypropylene. The blade is very-energetic and has snappy rebound. Two side supporting grooves and ribbing on the bottom of the blade allow progressive and controlled bending. The result is powerful, fluid and untiring kick. The foot pocket extends along the bottom of the blade to give protection during fining even in shallow water and near rocks. The foot pocket is made from soft thermo-rubber and the computer-designed shape offers great comfort as well as making the fins suitable for long use. The entire sole is made hard and comes with large non-slip inserts, for total protection of the foot and for excellent transmission of the leg-fin effort.
From the Manufacturer
The Palau is an extraordinary snorkeling fin. The size adapts to practically any foot and that allows for very precise, quick fitting in any situation. The blade is made from a light yet responsive material that assures the kick is fluid, effortless, and at the same time quite powerful.

I much much much prefer the closed foot flippers. I'm sure divers have a different preference but for snorkeling I don't want to deal with snaps and straps- which btw tend to break when you need them the most.
Things to know about these:
The fins are relatively stiff- not rubber. over time I could see these potentially cracking but so far I have had no issues.
They are LARGE. I don't know what I was expecting because the measurements are accurate. If you are someone with ankle issues you should think about that since these do feel like they place a bit more strain on that area. That being said I bought two pairs, one for myself and one for my snorkel buddy, and we had no issues at all.
They are really comfortable. I can wear these with or without fin socks. Either way I don't ever feel like I'm going to lose them in the water and either way I find them very comfortable. My snorkel buddy preferred them without fin socks.
I moved to a tropical island where snorkeling and scuba diving are major activities.
I purchased these fins based on the reviews that they would be good choices for both sports.
I wear a women's size 9 shoe and purchased these in the 41/41 Mans 7/8 size.
They are perfect with bare feet.
Due to having to climb over some rocks at the shoreline, I wanted to wear some scuba socks. I thought, what am I going to do with my scuba socks after I put my fins on? Well, I had enough room in the fins to just wear the scuba socks (2mm). I loved that combination! I think I could get away with a 3mm sock to give me even a little more protection against the rocks.
These are also lightweight, which makes them easy to handle getting in/out of the water. I just tuck them both under one arm.
In the water, they were great, too. Good propulsion.
