Lifetime Tamarack Angler Fishing Kayak Reviews
Let’s face it, you have fished all along the shore of your favorite fishing hub but wonder what is truly out there towards the deeper parts of the lake. You could grab a canoe and paddle around the lake but that requires two people and, lets face it, lugging a canoe from your roof rack to the water can be a chore on your back.
You have heard of standing fishing kayaks but have also seen some of the lofty price tags of $600 plus that are associated with them. This is all fine and dandy if you are one of the Duck Dynasty guys but budget is usually one of the biggest restrictions when choosing a kayak that is right for you.
Thankfully the Life Time Tamarack Angler can be the potential solution for your budget friendly kayak.
Who is the Lifetime Tamarack Angler Kayak for?
The Tamarack Angler is great for new and experienced fisherman who want to go on a solo trip to different parts of the lake. It is very stable in the water thanks to the channels under the boat which makes it a great first timers kayak .
It is an even better choice of you have a kayak budget of under $400. Most of the time when you dip below the $300 zone kayaks start sacrificing quality and only last a few years. Thankfully, the LifeTime Tamarack Angler has a 5-year limited warranty that shows confidence in their materials. It is a great kayak for fishing in calm lakes, rivers and ocean bays as it’s hull provides a sturdy base to move and shift around in the kayak while you are trying to grab tackle and other fishing items.
Whos is the Tamarack Angler kayak not for?
The Tamarack is not for people who want to go fishing for very long periods of time. This is due to the kayak seat being uncomfortable to sit in for long periods.I will get into that more later in this post.
This kayak is also not the best for fishing in rougher waters such as open ocean fishing conditions. This is because the kayak is designed with stability in mind and not cutting through the water like many ocean kayaks are designed for. This makes paddling rougher conditions more difficult as you have to exert a lot more effort to keep the kayak handling the way you would like.

Back to the LifeTime Tamarack Angler Kayak, some of it’s best features are ones that you would see included with kayaks that are at least $300 more expensive. To start the Kayak’s Hull is very well designed to make sure the kayak tracks all the while being stable enough to fish off of. Allowing you to have 3 lines at once coming from the kayak.
A few other bonus features that really goes with this kayak is the fact that it comes with a paddle. The Lifetime Tamarack Angler Kayak also features front and side bungees to hold the paddle in place so that you do not have to worry about losing it in the drink! This kayak weighs 56 lbs which make sit lightweight to carry as a solo paddler. No more back strain!

Is there any seat upgrades available?
Do it yourself up grades are very easy. Seat, anchor system, ext.
I’d like to know if this kayak would be suitable for small slower moving rivers.
Small slower rivers should be fine. If you want to stay in one spot to fish you should also consider getting a small anchor so you can stay in the sweet spot.
These Guys managed to paddle in a faster moving small river and seemed to manage fine. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mbd8j3mhtS0&ab_channel=ZachHughes
do yo know the difference between the 100 and 120?
It’s mostly just the Length for the most part.
No, but you can add a stadium seat to it with a bungee that works fantastically. Look it up on YouTube. That’s a big problem with a simple solution
